In June, Misturas became the first construction company in Galicia to certify its innovation management system under the new ISO 56001 standard. The certification was granted by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR).

ISO 56.001 is the first international standard for R&D&I (Research, Development, and Innovation) management systems, and it will fully replace the current UNE 166.002 standard by 2026. Misturas began the transition earlier this year, expanding its approach to innovation with a focus on generating value and enhancing competitiveness.

The scope of the certification includes Misturas’ R&D&I activities related to material use and recycling, waste disposal in bituminous mix production, inspection technologies, optimization of linear infrastructure and road management, and the development of new construction materials.
