Portocultura: 2,000 square meters of office space and 4,500 of residential areas renovated in the port of Vigo
Misturas was the company awarded the contract for the renovation works of “Portocultura”, a project for the restructuring of the old gillnetter factory of O Berbés, Vigo, into a building destined to accommodate the Centro de Apoyo al Marino (Marine Support Center), the International Transport Workers’ Federation and offices for shipping and fishing companies.
With these renovation works, contracted by the Port Authority of Vigo, more than 2,200 square meters have been refurbished within the building and another 4,500 for public use on the outside, as the project included the residential development and landscaping of the surroundings.
Both the building and green areas are already operational and open to the public, and the existence of two main entrances allows the Marine Support Center to have a separate entrance. In addition, a sculpture of Gonzalo de Vigo, made by José Molares, has recently been installed on the seafront promenade.
