Misturas completes a meticulous inventory of Ourense’s tree groves
Within the contract of conservation and maintenance of green areas of Ourense, Misturas executed a meticulous inventory of the trees of the city, a work that is available to the Council in a digital platform.
This record shows that in the streets of Ourense there are 4,721 specimens and that more than 80% are on the left bank of the Miño River.
In the green areas, there are 3,804 additional trees, the Angelita Paradela park being the lushest (301), well ahead of areas such as the Barbaña (135) or the As Lagoas urbanization (129).
The main species are Ligustrum japonica (Japanese privet, 812 units), Platanus x Hispanica (London plane, 668), Prunus cerasifera nigra (cherry plum, 528), Cercis siliquastrum (love tree, 363) and Liquidambar styraciflua (sweetgum or sapgum, 315).
