Start of the construction works for the upcoming “Silver Economy” Technological Center in Zamora with the visit of the Provincial Council’s President
Last March, Misturas started the refurbishment works of La Aldehuela Business Incubator in Zamora, where the upcoming “Silver Economy” Technological Center will be located. This novel work center of international vocation has been promoted by the Provincial Council of Zamora and is intended for business initiatives related to the care of the elderly.
The future technological center will occupy more than 1,500 m2 and will be made up of several multifunctional spaces, representing a unique innovative proposal in Spain. Its main objective is the research and development of technologies and specialized services in elderly care. The Provincial Council of Zamora intends to promote the establishment of technology-based companies, research centers, university start-ups, company-university joint laboratories and R&D&I departments in the new facilities. To this end, the provincial entity has recently signed an agreement with the University of Salamanca for the promotion and dissemination of scientific culture and the exchange of knowledge between this academic institution and the companies located in the technology park.
Mr. Francisco Requejo −president of the Provincial Council− and Mr. Emilio Fernández −deputy of Economic Development− visited the works on March 30, accompanied by Misturas’ technicians, who explained the planning and development of the works that are now underway.
Misturas‘ intervention in La Aldehuela will be completed with the construction of a new parking lot, located in front of the Business Incubator, which will have several charging stations for electric vehicles.
