The works included two well-differentiated interventions. On the one hand, the reform of the old post office situated in the General Registry Office in the Administration Complex San Caetano, and on the other hand, the enlargement of the ground-floor of the building of Consellería do Medio Rural, with a surface of more than 1,000 m2. Demolitions of structural elements and façades were carried out; a direct foundation was built with new slabs (from which walls and columns emerge thus making up the enlarged building structure) and with girders with concrete roof spaces and pre-manufactured joists. The enlargement of the real estate was completed with a covered gardened, walls made of bricks, marble pavements, roofs and walls in gypsum boards, fixed carpentry in offices and movable carpentry in the inner yard, a total renovation of the electrical installations and the voice and data networks, plumbing and sewerage, fireproof and heating systems.
