Civil Engineering Students of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela visit Misturas’ cold asphalt mixing plant
On May 7, an academic visit took place at the cold asphalt mixing plant that Misturas owns in the Industrial Park of Chorente, in Allariz (Ourense). Civil Engineering Students of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC), with a concentration in Transportation, traveled from the Escuela Politécnica Superior in Lugo to Misturas’ facilities to understand how this kind of industrial equipment works. Thanks to the Asphalt Department personnel, the students were able to see on site how the manufacturing process for this kind of bituminous mixes works, thus enabling them to complete their education from a practical point of view.
This academic visit is framed within the Corporate Social Responsibility activities developed by Misturas, which frequently collaborates with different Galician higher-education institutions, both in training activities and R&D projects.
