It will do so through the use of lignin obtained in the cellulose pulp production process, which will be modified chemically or with oily additives, also incorporating material from road milling to replace natural aggregates.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is supported by <b>Cetim<\/b> (Multisectorial Research Technological\u00a0 Center) and the <b>Universidade de Santiago de Compostela<\/b> (Integrated Group of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Lugo Campus), and will be developed over a period of three years.<\/p>\n<p>The project, called <b>Bit\u00famina<\/b>, has just passed the validation of the <b>DNSH principle<\/b>, which implies official recognition that it will not cause damage to the environment. This certification is a mandatory requirement for R&#038;D&#038;I projects co-financed by the CDTI (Spanish Center for Technological Development and Innovation) with <b>Next Generation EU funds<\/b>.
